Hotwords are certain hashtag phrases that are trending. Hotwords reset every Monday and Thursday at midnight and you must access Flamingo after they have changed to view them while in photo mode. You can bring up the list any time you are in photo mode at the press of a button, until the next reset when you will need to check the app again.
While in photo mode, tags will appear in green writing to show you what you are taking a picture of. If there is something that falls into a Hotword category, a red exclamation mark will appear to notify you of a chance to get a great photo. You can bring up the Hotword list to see exactly which objective has been fulfilled.
Photos that contain Hotwords will get more Emokes (likes) and earn you more money, so you want to make sure you are always keeping up to date with these. The more Hotwords contained within a photo – the better it will be received on Flamingo by fans. Try and take photos from certain angles to encompass more than one Hotword and score big. Sometimes this means taking a step or two back to ensure you get everything in one shot.
Make sure you upload your photos while the Hotwords are still active to maximize on the current trend. You’ll know when you have been successful as your photos will get the ‘Buzz’ banner once uploaded.
When Hotwords refresh, if one of your previously uploaded photos already contains one of the trending phrases, it will begin to Buzz again.
How To Upgrade The Flamingo App
Accessed via the PC in Naomi’s house, Flamingo is where you can upload all your photos to earn likes and money. You can only upload each photo once and there is a limit on the number of photos you can have uploading at any one time, as well as a limit on the maximum number of photos you can have uploaded.
As you upload more photos and get more Emokes, you’ll naturally earn more followers too. As you hit certain milestones, Flamingo will reward you with some extra money and increase your maximum upload number. Ensure you are taking the best photos possible to get the most likes and followers so you can upgrade your account sooner.
