Harvey is seemingly the oldest bachelor in Stardew Valley, and for a long time, was overlooked by many players. As the game has grown in popularity, more and more people have come to see the doctor’s charm. Harvey is a man who is just happy to have companionship and is one of the most laidback and mature romance paths.

His likes and schedule reflect his age and stable job, and his heart events are quite different than any other NPC’s in the game. Marrying Harvey is a unique but romantic route that every player should try out at least once.

Basic Info About Harvey

It seems Harvey is the oldest bachelor in town (or at least one of the oldest bachelors) but is still happy to have his birthday remembered. Since he is the doctor himself, he doesn’t have a yearly clinic visit, but will still take time off work to go down to visit the Night Market when it comes to town.

Harvey has a very steady schedule that is easy to memorize. Most players can memorize his schedule pretty easily, making him easy to keep up with during the day.

His schedule stays mostly the same throughout the seasons, making it one of the easiest to remember out of the marriage cast. The only time the schedule will be completely thrown off is if it is raining at a time he usually goes out or on Winter 15 when he visits the Night Market.

Spring and Summer

Fall

Harvey’s schedule in the Fall is largely the same as it is in the Spring and Summer. However, he’ll hang out by the river in town near the entrance to the beach from about 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays, instead of heading to the fountain until 5:30 p.m.

Winter

Like his Fall schedule, Harvey’s Winter schedule is mostly the same as his Spring and Summer schedule. There are two exceptions, though. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays, he mostly follows his rainy day schedule from the rest of the year, with the slight difference of heading to the Saloon a bit later (around 5:50 p.m.).

Additionally, on Winter 15, he’ll head to the Beach to check out the Night Market from around 5 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Triggering Harvey’s Cutscenes

Since Harvey is the town doctor, some of his cutscenes will involve him providing medical care to the townspeople.

Two Hearts

Enter George’s house when he is home to trigger this event. It will show Harvey giving George a regular check-up. George will ask you for your opinion as he doesn’t want to follow Harvey’s advice.

Four Hearts

Go to the Clinic while Harvey is in to be told it’s time for your annual check-up. Harvey will notice your pulse is high and ask you how you feel.

Six Hearts

For this event, go to the general store between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. There, you will witness Harvey attempting aerobics, and he will ask them not to tell.

Eight Hearts

This event can be activated by visiting the clinic when Harvey is in. This event does have dialogue, but it won’t affect friendship points. You’ll be introduced to Harvey’s radio hobby.

Ten Hearts

You will receive a letter from Harvey asking you to come to the railroad. To activate the event, go to the railroad between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to have a romantic hot air balloon ride with Harvey.

Fourteen Hearts

All of the marriage candidates have 14-heart events that can take place after you marry them. Since they’re not part of a romancing guide, we won’t spoil Harvey’s for you here!
